NURSES' TALES

***

Occasionally I am sent, or come across, information about individual nurses which I feel will be of interest to others.  Although my intention is not to produce individual biographies for a great many women, I hope that those included here will prove interesting, and add to the available information of nurses' service during the Great War.  In addition, I'm now adding a series of personal accounts by members of Queen Alexandra's Imperial Military Nursing Service, and the Territorial Force Nursing Service.  The top group of five accounts were originally written at the request of the Matron-in-Chief, War Office, and a selection were published in 1922 by John Bale, Sons & Danielsson Ltd under the title 'Reminiscent Sketches 1914-1919'.
